Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey

Jewish Federation of Northern New Jersey

Jewish Federation of Norther New Jersey is an umbrella organization that functions as the central planning and funding agency for the Jewish Community of Norther New Jersey (JFNNJ), encompassing all of Bergen and part of Passaic, Hudson and Morris Counties.

With support of Genesis Philanthropy Group, JFNNJ will hire a Russian-speaking Jewish coordinator and develop a pilot program for Russian-speaking Jewish families and children in Northern New Jersey, which will consist of a series of small gatherings or meet-ups interspersed with larger events. Each gathering will bring together 15 families every few weeks in low barrier locations (e.g. libraries or books stores) for relevant Jewish programming, such as Family Story Time or Arts and Craft projects. Larger Russian-speaking Jewish events will take place every four months engaging up to 100 RSJ individuals.

Financial support for this program is provided by Genesis Philanthropy Group along with Jewish Federation of Norther New Jersey and program participants’ contributions.

  • Create exciting engagement opportunities for Russian-speaking Jewish Families in Northern New Jersey.
