Camp B’Yachad

Camp B’Yachad

Camp B’Yachad is an overnight summer camp for Russian-speaking Jewish teens organized by the Marks JCH of Bensonhurst, a center of Jewish community life in Brooklyn for over 80 years, which provides meaningful, enjoyable programs and services for families and individuals in all stages of life.

Since 2013, Genesis Philanthropy Group is supporting studios that allow campers to expand on the Jewish content and theme of the day through a creative lens. Each camper chooses one studio to pursue for the duration of the 12 day overnight camp. The studio options vary each summer, yet always geared towards engaging teens in exploring their Jewish identity through a creative endeavor. Additionally, in 2015 the foundation is supporting a philanthropy elective year round afterschool program, developed to deepen the knowledge and commitment of participants to various philanthropic causes through personal grant making experiences.

Financial support for this program is provided by Genesis Philanthropy Group, along with Edith and Carl Marks Jewish Community House of Bensonhurst and other generous donors.
