BRIJE Young Family Engagement Initiative (Long Island, New York)

BRIJE Young Family Engagement Initiative (Long Island, New York)

The Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center (JCC), established in 1956, serves Nassau and western Suffolk Counties.

The Center provides a full range of programs from toddler and preschool through senior citizen clubs and activities. In 2015, Genesis Philanthropy Group supports the Building Russian Inspired Jewish Expression (BRIJE) Russian-speaking Jewish Engagement Initiative launched at the Long Island JCC. The program engages young families, offering year-round communal activities.

The program includes activities, such as Jewish holiday celebrations and monthly Russian-Jewish heritage cultural events. The program aims to create an environment rich with Jewish culture, where the participants meet and network with other local Russian-speaking Jewish families with young children.

Financial support for this program is provided by Genesis Philanthropy Group, along with
The Mid-Island Y Jewish Community Center and other generous donors.
